To the majority of Radio Controlled Helicopter enthusiasts the expression RC Helicopter blade tracking is probably a complete mystery. It therefore makes sense to educate or at least try and educate those who are still perplexed by the matter.

So, what is blade tracking? Basically it is when one of the rotor blades rotates in a circular motion and the blade following it is exactly on the same level. In other words both blades turn round on the same plane with neither one being higher or lower than the other one. They are both travelling through the identical airspace that has been created by their spinning. Should the rear blade follow through on a different plane then vibrations can shake the RC helicopter. This is something you do not want to happen.

So how do you track your blades? If possible try and secure the assistance of an experienced flyer to help you. If this is the first time you are flying your copter you need to ascertain if the blades are tracking correctly. The blade tracking can be easily checked simply by hovering the copter at eye level and paying attention to the blades. If there appears to be shaking or vibrating this infers the copter is not tracking correctly. If you are unsure then try getting two different pieces of coloured paper and attach one piece to each blade. A different colour on each will make it a lot easier to ascertain which blade is out of kilter.

Once the tape is attached ask an experienced flyer to hover the copter for you so you can see the spin of the blades. Pay attention to the blades spinning and observe whether they are showing as a single circle or two coloured circles. Obviously if the former then all is well. If the latter then one of the blades will need realigning.

In order to track your rotor blades correctly you will to begin with need to land the RC Helicopter. When the blades stop spinning any necessary adjustment can hen be made. Keep the manual handy to enable you to look up the correct blade tracking data in it. Follow the information given and not the words of any one else. The correct way is always as the manual tells you.

When you believe that the matter has been corrected then get someone to fly the helicopter for you again so you can have a further look at the blades. If they are okay then all well and good otherwise repeat the process until such time as they are in order. In other words when they are properly tracked and are spinning on the same plane. When completed your helicopter will handle much more smoothly and will be much easier to fly.

Nomatter what our age, we are all big kids when it comes to remote control helicopters or their counterparts such as rc cars and the variety of models available all over the world. Being in control of a remote control helicopter gives you the ability to have a model helicopter at your fingers tips, performing a number of maneuvers in-flight including stunts to impress family and friends.

Many people have their first rc helicopter as a present from parents when they are young and as they grown older, increase their interest and take on the helicopter model as a hobby in itself. As with rc cars, many hobbyists get together on a regular basis to fly their helicopters together and talk about their hobby.

When you goto choose a model helicopter there are an array of different specifications and requirements to take into consideration. If the helicopter is for a child as a present the very low cost model is all that is required. These tend to just fly backwards and forwards as well as turn round. When you move up a level you find the helicopters have more of a specification which allows the heli to perform more moverability in any direction a normal helicopter would go Having a 4 channel rc helicopter at a minimum gives you excellent control as well as being able to go up and down and turn round on cheaper models, a 4 channel rc helicopter will allow you to go in any direction, up down as well as bank so a great feeling of control.

It has been over 106 years since man first flew. Since then man has been fascinated with going higher, faster and further than ever before. Since the day the Wright brothers first flew there have been hundreds of advancements in avionics. This has see advancements in both planes and the more modern alternative called the helicopter. It has been the secret desire of many to fly and while very few will ever be able to fly a real plane or helicopter we can all find a fun alternative.

Most people today have heard of remote controlled or radio controlled and when you hear it you will probably think about remote controlled cars or RC Cars as they are known. However there is now a new aspect of the remote controlled area which is fast becoming a favourite amongst the young. These are RC helicopters or remote controlled helicopters.

There are a large number on the market today which is increasing every day. Most people start with a small chargeable RC Helicopter that are generally gifts given to them as a birthday or Christmas present. These can be great fun to anyone who has never used one before. They are small and cannot do any damage if you crash it. They can be used both indoors and out and simply fly with a chargeable battery. It can make a great Christmas party to take turns flying an RC helicopter around the front room.

For those who enjoy their first taste of RC Helicopters can then move to the next level and get a slightly larger model. There are loads of models to choose from which is the only problem you may find. At this stage you have got options with the introduction of petrol RC Helicopters. These are exactly what they sound like. They are remote controlled helicopters that are run on petrol. This however is not like the kind you would put in your car. You should go to a local hobby shop to get the correct stuff. You can then take your new petrol RC helicopter to a nice open space like the local park or a field away from town and fly for as long as your fuel will last.

For those who want to take this and turn it into a hobby can do so quite easily. While hobby shops can supply new models the best place to get them is online where there are a number of online shops which sell a much larger range of products. It is also here where you can by tools and accessories to really begin to play with them. You could also find forums or others who also enjoy the hobby and really take it to the next level by arranging to meet and fly your RC Helicopters together.

All of this stems from the original day over 106 years ago when the Wright brothers first flew a plane. Since then the fascination with flight has really taken off and it seems over a century later that this is set to continue for many years to come.

What little boy (or big boy, for that matter), doesn’t love an RC helicopter? An RC or radio controlled helicopter puts fast flying action in your fingertips so that you can pilot a helicopter outside your home for hours of wholesome fun. Much like radio controlled cars that are so popular among males during their youth, the radio controlled helicopter takes play to a whole new level. Other than actual children, many adults are actually hobbyists and like to build and construct their helicopters themselves. There are even competitions where these RC toys are raced against each other in an aerial spectacle.

There is any number of choices to be made when you decide to buy a helicopter. One of the biggest and most important is the decision on how many channels your model is going to have. It is possible to buy machines with 2, 3, 4 or 6 channels although for the smaller or younger child 2 or 3 is deemed appropriate. Also if you are only flying indoors then 2 or 3 is sufficient. The person who is starting out on flying as a hobby can perhaps consider a 4 channel model. This will enable them to fly like real helicopter and these helicopters will usually contain a flight simulation programme to be loaded on to your personal computer. This enables you to practice as much as you want without taking the actual helicopter out of the box. You are just flying on the simulator and simulating flight accordingly. Any crashes that happen can just be wiped out and you simply start again. This is much cheaper than a real crash and is ideal for you to gain extra confidence before the real flying starts or continues. It is possible to buy a machine that contains a miniature digital camcorder type addition and this will enable you to film as you fly.

The real humdinger of a model for the experienced flyer only is the 6 channel RC helicopter. This beauty can perform manoeuvres in 3 dimensional flying upside down and other moves. This is though as mentioned for those who have had smaller choppers and are now increasing their capacity due to their increased experience.

The 2, 3 and 4 channel models are far simpler o fix and less costly to do so. Any crash with a 6 channel one can prove expensive thus the need for more experience.

Having decided to purchase you would be advised to shop through the Internet purely because they have the best deals and with less inventory and overheads they can give you better prices compared with the standard High Street emporia.

It is now over 106 years since the Wright brothers completed man’s never ending desire to fly. From that date onwards flying has become an obsession with adults and children of all ages. With children it is flying their toy plane, with young adults it is the thrill of perhaps being a pilot one day. Sadly many will fail in their aspirations but turn instead to the next best thing, radio or remote controlled helicopters, a hobby that is growing by the day.

The remote control machine came many years after the Wright brothers produced their flying machine. Years went by until the remote control technology was able to control a remote controlled flying machine. The current day remote controlled helicopters use radio technology in order to control a remote flyer. This is where we get the popular terminology RC Helicopter from.

The radio controlled helicopter has an electric motor or it runs with an ethanol or petrol powered engine. In recent times RC ‘helicoptering’ has become even more popular thanks mainly to the improvement to the rechargeable batteries coupled with a reduction in prices. Model aircraft fanatics love their sport and shows and demonstrations and competitions are held all over the country. You should however get special training to become efficient at RC helicopter flying as unlike an aircraft that flies virtually in a straight line the helicopter is able to do many different manoeuvres and which require training to do correctly.

Manoeuvres carried out by the RC Helicopters are processed by changing the speed of the rotor and the tail rotor. In some instances models have sensors that will detect the speed of the wind and adjust the rotors speed and the tail rotors speed in order to have the helicopter flying at a steady pace.

When you come to purchase a radio controlled helicopter you will find they are available either in kits for you to build yourself or as ready to fly models. Building your own can take time depending on your prowess as a mechanic or engineer. The article will be made from aluminium, plastic or perhaps fibre. For the blades wood or fibre are utilised.

Whatever you decide just enjoy one of the fastest growing hobbies in the world today.

Even though Nitrotek are a top retailer for Nitro RC Cars, they have a brilliant range of RC Helicopters including this Apache X Helicopter which is on sale within May with 50% off its retail price.

When you visit the page by clicking the image above, you can see the video they have included of this RC Model flying around the room. As with Remote control nitro cars, the rc helicopter can take a little while to get the hang of depending on the model you are flying. With the Apache though, flying this helicopter is very easy.

There are many RC Helicopters that are classed as toys but this should not be one of them due to its high spec and very fast rotating blades. This helicopter goes in any direction you tell it to with specs as follows.

Rotor Diameter – 26cm

Length – 30mm

Weight – 80g

Flight Time – 8-12 minutes

All in all a great RC Model for Birthday or Christmas

Success they say comes from failure which can be a phrase associated with many things such as making your Nitro RC Car go faster than your competition or maybe even getting out of debt and starting a website like many people do. The reason PetrolRCCars.co.uk was started was due to buying my brothers a remote control car for Christmas about 3 years ago but also to have a hobby website which also made money. Well the site is now nearly 3 years ago and does make money but the RC Car industry isn’t as lucrative as I originally thought.

Either way, RC Cars are here to stay and I must sya there are a huge amount to choose from and a very competitive market. Nitrotek though I think have the best looking website which satisfies many RC Car fans each day with their excellent range of Nitro Cars. It’s the Nitro side which made them start their company although they did expand into Helicopters and other types of models to. Overall though, if you are looking for a Nitro Model then they are very much recommended.

Nitrotek introduce this as the most innovative and fun RC helicopter of the year. It has been produced because of their being inundated with requests for this new helicopter. The Walkera 5G6 is apparently a gadget for all tech lovers. This is the Micro-X version. Nitrotek have added their own finish with a customised shell and colouring.

This should not be confused with the cheap 2ch/3ch helicopters that are on the market. The Walkera is a masterpiece complete with full 4 channel long range control system and built in gyro. Unlike the 2ch helicopters that simply go up and down and rotate these allow you to go everyway you can want. The range is also far greater in line with full scale models. Considering their size this is a fantastic achievement. The power is provided by a rechargeable pack that gives a longer 7-10 minutes flight time. A UK plug is included together with a lithium battery charger.

Without doubt this is a helicopter of excellent quality. Its counter rotating blades make flying easier. Nitrotek point out that the set include a rechargeable battery pack and charger and they therefore recommend this model for ages 14 and over.

Specifications:- Main Rotor Diameter (Upper): 175 mm Drive System: 2×1215 strong motors Main Rotor Diameter (Lower): 175 mm Overall Length: 175 mm Transmitter: 4 Ch Receiver: RX-412 Servo weight: 3.5g Servo speed: 0.11sec/60°(4.8V Battery: 3.7V 400mAh Li-PO battery All-up Weight: 57g (Battery included) Gyro: Built-in Features:- The receiver is equipped with a built-in gyro with adjustable sensitivity Coaxial structure and palm-sized dimensions are used to make this the best model for indoor entertainment High capacity 3.7V 400mAh Li-po battery pack. A full charged cycle will give 7-10 minutes flight time. Highly efficient special servo (3g) with super response times 2×1215 strong-magnetic motors are powerful and make flight stable The world’s smallest 4ch RC helicopter

Overall, RC Model varieties have come a long way in the last few years with incredible power and technology in each different design. Nitro Models are extremely fast with powerful engines whilst planes can perform all sorts of aerobatics. Look out for particular models which require a licence to fly them in open spaces such as RC Model helicopters. Due to the complexity of the controls and rotating blades, a license can be required depending on which country you are in.

Top selling RC Models are the RC Condor Buggy when it comes to look at Cars with the Esky Lama being a very popular Model Helicopter.
